A busy and crowded big city, the de-facto captial of Australia and a city full of histories and stories. Famous for the Habour Bridge and the Opera House. In my opinion it owns the best climate on the eastern coastal line of Australia. A city full of job opportunities and international events. Has several famous beaches and fabulous national parks especially in North Sydney. Traffic there is efficient and convenient in general, with a world-famous and nicely designed International Airport approachable through multiple ways. The Fisher Library in Sydney Uni. is definitely cool  and you don't want to miss the Human Body Museum located on the campus of UNSW. Rich in sight-seeings, parks, shopping malls and entertainment devices. Night scenaries, especially near Darling Harbor and the Opera House, are just unforgetable. Food, especially seafood and desserts are just wicked. Mascot is a good place to live, eat and have fun.

Living, shopping and dining costs are unbelievable. Could be too noisy and crowded for people like me to fall asleep. Public transports are just stuffed with busy people mountain people sea, which is not feeling very good.

This is another one of my favorite cities in Australia, not only because its full wonderful and relaxing scenaries and beaches, but also my lovely great friends and the unique experiences that the city can bring. The city is well-planned, with the beautiful University of Adelaide located right at the central. Living, shopping and trasportation are convenient, efficient and affordable. Especially with the O'ban available, it is extremely fast to get to different suburbs of the city. Food there is amazing, especially you don't want to miss the great pork belly and bread in the Hahndorf Germany town. Botanic gardens and zoos there are also places you can't wait to have a look. It is quite quiet at nights in Adelaide, which brings you good sleeps even at the hotel on the main streets of Adelaide. Night scenaries are beautiful, and in general safe to watch, stay and enjoy. Trying a long-distance self-driving on weekends is also a thing you would hope to enjoy.

Due to the scale of the city, it has less place-to-be compared to other major costal-line cities (expect Canberra). It would be expected to be slightly dull if staying longer, due to less activities and entertainments there. Also the climate is dry and summer days in Adelaide are hot and hard.

This is by law the so-called capital of Australia, seriously! I really enjoy the Griffin Lake located in the middle of Canberra. The city is as well planned as Adelaide, with only 2 circles sit accross the lake not far from each other (and of course the Parliment at the south). Bus conditions are good, with bike-shelves available and runs at an affordable price connecting everywhere in the city. The National Museum of Australia, is, voila, the place that grows your knowledge of Australia. Very quite at nights, and is absolutely a good place for retirement life. The Australian National University is generally good.

It's airport is just a disaster! Can you believe that, as the capital city, you have to go to the de-facto capital city to transfer flights to many other international cities! And seems hard for pilots to land there smoothly. The city is dull, empty and boring, seems is a city only for retirement purposes. Not many types of food are available for choosing, while the cost-of living is high. Shopping seems to be not very convenient. As a Unimelb student, I have to sincerely and objectively admit that ANU may not be the #1 uni in Australia as itself claims observing from its low-height and pathetic buildings and facilities, which is agreed by my ANU friends. Not many working and developing opportunites approachable.

A multi-cutural city with many feasts and activities. The near south-east suburb of Melbourne is absolutely an ideal place to live in, with beautiful attractions, lovely shops and convenient traffic. Train networks and services are in general nice and enjoying. Nice park lands and beaches accross the city. Living cost is affordable among Australian cities, with multiple choices of food available. General Practice services, including many of which are free with insurance cards, are absolutely wonderful. The University of Melbourne is a good place to study at in general, with a small number of subjects a bit challenging.

Long and dull cold and rainy days from late full starting from April, till early spring in September, and weather tends to change rapidly in summer. The middle of the city is getting more and more crowded and dirty. Some places are noisy at nights and some of the places are too expensive to live, so need to choose where you live carefully. Traffic conditions in the direction of north-south are absolutely disasters, with the airport extremely costly and hard to approach.
